RJT Criminal Defense is pleased to announce a new educational scholarship for disabled veterans. This is a single scholarship in the amount of $1,000. It will be used to offset some of the tuition cost associated with attendance at a trade school or college. The scholarship has been established to encourage disabled veterans to continue to strive toward their educational goals.
The men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces are entitled to our thanks for serving our country faithfully. But the transition from military life to civilian status can be difficult. For those veterans who are disabled, the difficulties are often even greater.
The Scholarship
Our firm and its founder, Ryan J. Tegnelia, believe that one way we can show our thanks to disabled veterans is by helping them fulfill their educational goals. We are doing this by providing a scholarship which we hope will encourage disabled veterans to continue their education, whether at a trade or vocational school, or at the university, junior college or college level. It is a $1,000 tuition scholarship, which will be paid directly to the school that the winning applicant chooses to attend. There is no requirement that applicants be enrolled at school when they submit their application. However, the funds must be used within a year after the successful applicant is notified that he or she has won the scholarship.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
An applicant must be a disabled veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States (any branch). Your disability rating must be at least 30%.
How to Apply?
Our application process is simple and straightforward. To be considered for the scholarship, you should:
- Complete the online application.
- Upload a short statement setting forth your educational goals.

We may also require that you provide to us proof of your military service and discharge, as well as proof of your disability. All application material must be submitted to us by February 13, 2018.
